Gov’t rolls out $1.3b roadworks for Yarrowkabra, Kuru Kururu, Swan

Less than 5 months after President Irfaan Ali walked the streets of Yarrowkabra and Kuru Kururu to listen to the concerns of residents, the PPP/C Government has invested $1.3b to enhance the communities’ road network, according to a release from the Ministry of Public Works.

President plays up projected cut in power costs

Sod turned for Mon Repos health centre

On Monday, Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, along with the Attorney General, Anil Nandlall, turned the sod to commemorate the beginning of the construction of a new Health Centre located at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.

Gov’t, Saudi Fund sign US$150m loans

A four-lane bridge at Wismar, Linden and infrastructure for 2,500 housing units are to be financed by two loans for a total of US$150m signed yesterday in Georgetown between the Guyana Government and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

Sale of C-Island Hotel was not fraudulent – Judge rules

High Court Judge Sandra Kurtzious on Friday handed down a ruling that the sale of C-Island Hotel located at Lot 46 High and Princes streets, Georgetown was not fraudulent and that the buyer, Marlus Hendricks, is fully entitled to it as the new legal owner and that title is to be passed within the next three months.
