Females not getting enough recognition for forest roles

By Deneita Fredericks The critical role of females  in forest conservation and management was one of the issues highlighted at a workshop on Friday that homed in on gaps in gender equality in forest-dependent communities.

Jawalla injured airlifted to Georgetown

Following the violent storm in a farm at Jawalla Village, Region Seven, that claimed the lives of three women on Thursday afternoon, the weather conditions improved enough yesterday  for the four injured persons to be airlifted to Georgetown for further medical attention.

Venezuelan charged with murder

Jairo Medina Hernandes, a 35-year-old Venezuelan, was yesterday charged with murder committed on Estepanie Gracia on September 22 at Mosapai Backdam, Wenamu River, Region Seven.
