Former UK PM Blair, wife expected in Guyana soon

Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair and his wife, Cherie Blair, of the women’s empowerment non-profit organisation, the Cherie Blair Foundation, are expected to visit Guyana next week, a top government official has confirmed.

Lethem minibus driver charged over cannabis

Thirty-year-old Allan Stephen, a mechanic and driver of 329 Tabatinga, Lethem, appeared at the Diamond/Grove Magis-trate’s Court yesterday before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman on a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
