Walter Scott, a 57-year-old coach of Lot 21 Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was arrested on 2023-09-13 and charged on Friday with the offence of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm, Contrary to Section 50 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.

Steve Greene, a 20-year-old construction worker of Lot 64 Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, was arrested on 2023-09-13 by a rank from an anti-crime patrol unit and charged on Friday with larceny.

Mashabo set for expanded pineapple cultivation

Farmers from Mashabo Mission on the Essequibo Coast will soon begin producing pineapple on a larger scale as the Ministry of Agriculture is scheduled to begin developmental works on 10 acres of land earmarked for the project.
