Zorg en Vlygt man charged with rape

Selvin Singh, a 52-year-old driver of Lot 8 Zorg en Vlygt, Essequibo Coast, was charged on Monday with the rape of a female which allegedly occurred between 31st of May 2022 and 7th of June 2022 at Zorg en Vlygt.

IMF upbeat on economy as oil expands

Guyana’s economy is expected to grow “extremely fast” this year at 38%, the IMF said yesterday as oil production ramps up but it issued several cautions and also recommended a review of the exchange rate framework.
