NA man held with suspected marijuana

Bhudram Loelere, a 23-year-old carpenter of Patrick Dam, Angoy’s Avenue in New Amsterdam, Berbice, is now in Police custody following his arrest and the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis by Police ranks who were on Marine Patrol in the Berbice River earlier this week.

Norton St man charged over gun, ammo

Rondell Vanrossum, a 45-year-old unemployed resident of Lot 56 Norton Street, Lodge, was arrested on September 16th 2024 and was charged yesterday with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition without a licence.

Sixteen graduate from regional epidemiology programme

The Ministry of Health yesterday announced that 16 health professionals had graduated from from the Caribbean Regional Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme (CR-FELTP) which was funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the Ministry of Health.
