GDF signs on to US army-led Human Rights Framework

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) yesterday signed on to the United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Human Rights Framework that supports development of human rights programmes in the Caribbean and Latin America region.

Big trade mission due from BVI

The Government of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) yesterday announced that the Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade, Lorna Smith will lead a 17-member delegation on a significant trade mission here from 30th July to 4th August 2023. 

Gov’t extends oil blocks bidding yet again

The PPP/C Government yesterday announced yet another extension in bidding for offshore oil and blocks and this time to September 12, saying it is because of plans to complete changes to this country’s regulatory framework.
