Ministry says 29 children from Mahdia tragedy treated at GPHC

The Ministry of Health today said that 29 children from the Mahdia dormitory fire have been assessed and treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital and its medical teams have been mobilised to provide services to the Region Eight community and to remain on standby.

Man, 57, charged with verbally abusing woman

Fifty-seven-year old Raymond Wilson, of Lot 508 Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on May 23 before Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus to answer to the charge that was laid against him.
