Essequibo fatal accident driver slapped with three charges

Parasram Wellington, a 56-year-old driver  attached to Golden Fleece Investment on the Essequibo Coast, was charged today with driving under the influence (DUI), failing to stop after an accident and failing to render assistance to an injured person, the police said.

FITUG calls for talks on livable wage

FITUG Treasurer Seepaul Narine yesterday said that there should be an equalizing between the private sector and public sector minimum pay and he called on the National Tripartite Committee to initiate discussions on a livable wage for workers.
