Police probing death of man at Quamina St guest house

Commander for Regional Division 4 ‘A’, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean, says that ranks are investigating the ‘unnatural death’ of Umar Ally, a 49-year-old of Lot 221 ‘B’ Field Pattensen, Greater Georgetown which occurred in Room 104 of the Quamina Guest House located at Lot 126 Quamina Street, Georgetown The death occurred between 14:05 hours and 14:15 hours.

Man dies in hit and run at Land of Plenty

Police in  Regional Division No. 2 are investigating a ‘hit and run’  accident which led to the death of Mahendra Kissoon, a 46-year-old of Lot ‘K’ Land of Plenty Public Road, Essequibo Coast.

Death of De Willem man, 51, under probe

Police in Regional Division #3 are continuing their investigations into the death of Sunnyramperal Persaud, called ‘Papo’, a 51-year-old unemployed man of Lot 61  De Willem, West Coast Demerara.

Region Six police commander completes course in India

The High Commission of India yesterday announced that Guyana Police Force (GPF) Commander of  East Berbice- Corentyne, Region 6, Senior Superintendent of police Shivpersaud Bacchus underwent training in India under the Indian Technical and Economical Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.

A 45-year-old Stabroek Market handyman was on Saturday evening stabbed to death by three men on bicycles in the vicinity of Strikey’s Bar, New Road Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara, in what appears to be a random attack.
