GTT, WANSAT launch satellite internet service

GTT Inc. (GTT) and WANSAT Networks Inc. (WANSAT), a Guyanese-owned Internet Service Provider with a focus on providing satellite broadband connectivity to rural and hinterland areas yesterday announced the launch of their partnership “Connectivity Anywhere”, a new satellite internet service.

Over 800 persons now eligible to enter university

By Tanacia Karim Guyana Media and Communication Academy intern Over 800 persons graduated on Tuesday from the Guyana Online Academy of Learning’s (GOAL) Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and they are now eligible to enter the University of Guyana or the teachers training college.

Sophia shopkeeper gets three years over gun, ammo

Jermaine Anthony, a 34-year-old shopkeeper from the Sophia Squatting area, was arrested on April 22 by ranks of the Timehri Police Station and was charged on Tuesday with the following offences: ** Possession of a Fire-arm without Licence ** Possession of Ammunition without Licence The defendant appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court #2 before Magistrate Dylon Bess, where the charges were read to him.
