Eureka Labs awarded $62.4m judgment against bankrupt RemoteMD

Guyana’s High Court has awarded Eureka Medical Laboratories Inc (EML) a $62.4 million judgment against United States offshore medical provider, RemoteMD LLC, after that company packed up business here and filed for bankruptcy in its home country, leaving over $100 million owed to locals for the third party services it received.

Edghill commissions `sound’ Bamia concrete road

Although elated with being provided with a new road, residents of Bamia Drive in Amelia’s Ward, Linden, who questioned its durability as well as the walkway and drainage infrastructure were assured by Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill,  that the works are sound.

As part of its efforts to reduce the overcrowding at the Kato Secon-dary School in Region Eight, Minister of Education Priya Manickchand has announced that a modern secondary school will be built in another village, Kopi-nang and will cater for students from within that catchment area.
