Addressing a reception for a visiting, high-level US congress team on Friday, American Ambassador Sarah-Ann Lynch lauded the government here for making the country attractive for investors and underlined the importance of contract sanctity while at the same time stressing the need for the improvement of the lives of all Guyanese.

Shot police sergeant dies at GPH

The 32-year-old Police Sergeant, Jermaine Semple, who was nursing a gunshot wound to his head after he was allegedly shot by his cousin last Sunday in Linden, succumbed to his injuries yesterday afternoon while being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital. 

Judge finds fraud in sale of boating services property

Justice Sandil Kissoon in a judgment on Tuesday ruled that a marina and boating services property in Essequibo sold to Antares Inc back in 2017 had been fraudulently sold below value by the daughter of the deceased to whom the property was willed as trustee of beneficiaries.
