A female relative has been identified as the mastermind of the armed robbery of businessman Malcolm Panday and his family at their Bel Air Gardens home on Tuesday, Well-placed sources told this newspaper that the breakthrough came during the interrogation of the six men held after the brazen attack.

Operations at the main laboratory of the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) were at a standstill for hours yesterday after fumes from an unknown source sent persons scampering from the room and it is expected to be closed for a few days as a number of specialists review the situation.
