Machete-wielding man invades nursery school

A man wielding a machete yesterday morning invaded the Roxanne Burnham Gardens Nursery School, where he assaulted a teacher and terrorised students while demanding that they hand over a “laptop.”

Juvenile detention centre opened

Juvenile offenders who enter the justice system will now be kept at a $37.6 million holding centre, which was formally opened yesterday afternoon.
