Health Ministry gets over 1.5m medical masks

Amerindian Affairs PS to be charged with corruption

The Guyana Police Force received legal advice this afternoon for a charge to be bought against Ministry of Amerindian Affairs Permanent Secretary, Sharon Hicks who has been at the centre of a bribery allegation over the past two months.

EU presents $1.7b in budget support

The government yesterday announced the receipt of a final tranche of €7.56 million ($1.7b) in budgetary support from the European Union (EU) as President Irfaan Ali reminded that the country is still a developing one and will need all the financial aid it can muster until it fully transitions to an oil state.
