PM rejects Shuman’s claims

Prime Minister Mark Phillips today rejected statements by Deputy Speaker of the House Lenox Shuman that the government has not been consulting with the indigenous peoples.

Teleperformance says it plans to add 1,000 jobs by end of next year

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company Teleperformance Guyana says it plans to create an additional 1000 jobs next year.

Local gov’t elections deferred

As had been expected, Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall has informed municipalities and Neighbourhood Democratic Councils across the country that Local Government Elections will not be held this year as had been scheduled.

Parliament to meet on Monday
