Former Chief Magistrate (ag) K Juman-Yassin (SC) has condemned Friday’s attempt by the police to arrest former Assistant Police Commissioner, Paul Slowe who had turned up at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer to several charges.

Beverage vendor dies in High St crash

A Kitty beverage vendor died yesterday morning after being involved in an accident on High Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown in the vicinity of the Carnegie School of Home Economics.

Lethem Regional Hospital recommissioned

On Friday, Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony was joined by President Irfaan Ali, the British High Commissioner to Guyana, Jane Miller and Representative of the Pan-American Health Organisation (PAHO) in Guyana, Dr Luis Felipe Codina at the re-commissioning of the Lethem Regional Hospital in Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo).

The Police say they are investigating a fatal accident which occurred just after midnight today on High Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown in the vicinity of Carnegie School of Home Economics.
