Canawaima could be back on Suriname run from Oct 24

Effective yesterday, the  M.B. Sandaka will be operating thrice per week between Guyana and Suriname and subject to approval by the regulatory authorities, the Canawaima Ferry could resume its daily service on October 24th.

NAREI issues warning over Triple Super Phosphate

The National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI) says that the Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) fertiliser distributed by Cyril Singh Agricultural Enterprise has been found to be below the Manufactured Declared Concentration.

Fire officials in Tiger Bay awareness visit

Minister of Home Affairs,  Robeson Benn,  Chief Fire Officer (ag) Gregory Wickham and other fire officials yesterday did a walk through in Tiger Bay, Georgetown where they distributed smoke detectors to residents and demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers.

Auction held for 65 mining blocks

Miners on Saturday, participated in an auction hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) for medium- scale mining properties.
