Four lines tripped and triggered shutdown – GPL

The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) today said that at approximately 6:41 am yesterday, four of its  Transmission Lines tripped: L2 and L4 that connect the Golden Grove and Sophia Substations, L5 – the Kingston to Sophia Substations and L17 – the Good Hope to Colombia Substations.

Guyana, UAE firms plan US$5m investment here in construction slabs

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was yesterday clinched in Dubai between a Guyanese construction firm and an Emirati company for a US$5m, 20,000-square foot facility here to introduce voided slab manufacturing technology.
