Germany agrees to open trade office in Cuba

HAVANA, (Reuters) – Germany and Cuba yesterday agreed to open a trade office in Havana that would help German businesses seeking to invest in the Communist-led island and possibly increase the current 225 million euros ($244.22 million) in annual bilateral trade.

Vendors plying their trade on the Merriman Mall between Orange Walk and Cummings Street were yesterday barred from entering that area and called on President David Granger and others to intervene but the mayor says they have to clean up their act before they will be allowed to return.
