Windsor Forest man dies in accident

About 2335h. last night, the police say that Clement Sukdeo, 69 years, of Windsor Forest, WCD, was driving a motor vehicle along the Leonora Public Road, WCD, when he lost control of the vehicle which turned turtle in a trench.

‘I broke no laws’

Under pressure following a damning audit report that recommended criminal charges and disciplinary action for breaching laws, head of government’s holding company NICIL, Winston Brassington yesterday defended his leadership of the entity saying he broke no laws and the report is not backed up with evidence.

Despite many challenges, ranks attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters performed well this year, according to Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum who said efforts will continue to improve relations with the many stakeholders.
