U.S. imposes sanctions on two Haitian politicians over drug trafficking

WASHINGTON,  (Reuters) – The United States today imposed sanctions on a current and a former Haitian senator, accusing the two politicians of engaging in international drug trafficking activities, Washington’s latest action targeting corruption in the Caribbean country.

World Court urges Chile and Bolivia to cooperate on Silala river

THE HAGUE,  (Reuters) – Judges at the World Court ruled yesterday that Chile and land-locked Bolivia now agreed on previous points of dispute over access to the waters of the Silala river and that they would not need to make a decision on Chile’s claims before the court.
