Tropical storm warning issued for Bahamas; 1,300 still missing

NASSAU,  (Reuters) – A tropical cyclone was forecast to move across the northwestern Bahamas in the coming days, potentially bringing more rain and wind to islands already devastated by Hurricane Dorian, the U.S.

Trinidad sprint queen Michelle-Lee Ahye suspended over dope tests

(Trinidad Newsday) Trinidad & Tobago sprint queen and Commonwealth Games 100-metre champion Michelle-Lee Ahye has been provisionally suspended by the world track and field governing body IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation).

Trinidad: PM says Kamla told Marlene about charges one month before arrest

(Trinidad Guardian) An in­con­gru­ous po­lit­i­cal sit­u­a­tion led Prime Min­is­ter Dr Kei­th Row­ley to re­veal to the Par­lia­ment that Op­po­si­tion Leader Kam­la Per­sad Bisses­sar tipped off her po­lit­i­cal ad­ver­sary, Mar­lene Mc Don­ald one month be­fore her ar­rest.   “I didn’t know Mar­lene Mc Don­ald was go­ing to get ar­rest­ed but one month be­fore she was ar­rest­ed the Leader of the Op­po­si­tion could have called her to her of­fice and tell her she was go­ing to be ar­rest­ed,” Row­ley said.
