Bank of Jamaica rolls out its digital currency ‘Jam-Dex’

(Trinidad Guardian) Jamaica’s Central Bank’s decision to pursue its own digital currency is as much an effort to reach out to the relative unbanked segment of the population as it is to continue the Western Caribbean country’s effort to digitise its economy.

Freeport man shot dead while asleep

(Trinidad Guardian) Just four days before her 40th birthday, Rosanna Seepersad’s husband of 23 years was killed in their bedroom while she was allegedly heavily medicated and asleep.

PM eyes full reopening of Trinidad

(Trinidad Guardian) Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley says in the coming days, he will meet with this country’s Ministry of Health officials to discuss the full reopening of T&T’s operations, as there has been no-post Carnival spike in COVID-19 cases.
