At least 51 killed in Egypt, Islamists call for uprising

CAIRO,  (Reuters) – At least 51 people were killed today when the Egyptian army opened fire on supporters of ousted president Mohamed Mursi, in the deadliest incident since the elected Islamist leader was toppled by the military five days ago.

(Reuters) – Liberal politician Mohamed ElBaradei was chosen as Egypt’s interim Prime Minister on Saturday as the transitional administration fought to restore calm after at least 35 people were killed in Islamist protests that swept the country.
