Fierce fighting sparks fire outside Ukrainian nuclear plant – officials

BORODYANKA/LVIV, Ukraine,  (Reuters) – A fire broke out in a training building outside the largest nuclear power plant in Europe during intense fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces, Ukraine’s state emergency service said last night.

U.S. takes aim at Russian oligarchs in fresh sanctions

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The United States yesterday imposed sanctions against Russian oligarchs as it targeted Russia’s super-rich and others close to President Vladimir Putin, further ratcheting up financial pressure over Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

War crimes court prosecutor opens Ukraine investigation

AMSTERDAM,  (Reuters) – The International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor on Wednesday said he would immediately open an investigation into possible war crimes committed in Ukraine, following requests to do so by an unprecedented number of the court’s member states.
