Dear Editor, In the wake of this year’s commemoration of Emancipation Day, there have been several panel discussions and symposia organized by African Guyanese activists discussing “the African-Guyanese condition”.

Dear Editor,  Is there an implication that the University of Guyana and counterpart institutions in CARICOM have insufficient capacity to teach foreign languages?

Dear Editor, It is beyond understanding that the lame-brained explanation offered by community officials to residents for a large sum of unaccounted cash as being discovered only when they returned to their hotel room and the commercial bank “had robbed them”.

Dear Editor, Some Guyanese hold the view that it is a waste time to listen to Glen Lall, David Hinds, Kidackie Amsterdam, Sherod Duncan or Henry Jeffrey.

Dear Editor, So our Hon. Minister of Home Affairs has stated that the public has confidence in the Guyana Police Force.

Dear Editor, In recent years a number of road users have lost their lives needlessly in Guyana-and the rate keeps increasing. 

Dear Editor, No doubt, with the recent spate of accidents caused by trucks, especially, the Guyana Police Force would embark on some temporary comedy show, which would yield some results, but because of inconsistency, no doubt, the situation would return to normal gradually.

Dear Editor, Is this for real?  Sugar workers striking and demanding compensation as some were re-assigned to the soon to be reopened estate? 

Dear Editor Many of our opposition politicians in Guyana have had a taste of governance.

Dear Editor, Our vehicle duties system, which charges citizens based on the year and engine size, defies logic on multiple fronts.

Dear Editor, Someone drew to my attention a strongly worded letter appearing in the Chronicle newspapers of Monday August 14, 2023 titled “Hamilton Green owes the nation an apology.”

Dear Editor, If perchance there has been a mistake, two not unrelated incidents of disrespect were reported to have occurred in Region 10 recently.

Dear Editor, I would be grateful for the publication of this letter, with the hope that through this medium GT&T could address my concern.

Dear Editor, The recent terrible scenes and images on news sites of destruction and devastation in Maui Hawaii, caused by wildfires fuelled by heavy winds must raise red flags here.
