Dear Editor, The Ministry of Education is doing an excellent job moving the sector forward, and we should all provide assistance in preventing them from being taken advantage of by others.

Dear Editor,  In December 2022, I requested a print-out of my NIS contributions to date, from the Mahaicony office, since I am approaching the age of statutory retirement. 

Dear Editor, One observes the publication of appointments of Teachers by the Teaching Service Commission in the same old stultified Job Structure to be effective from May 1, 2023, even though the parties named would not have received confirmatory letters regarding salary and possibly changed conditions of employment – disturbing evidence of authoritarianism.

Dear Editor, Each year, on the day set aside to honour workers, it is amazing the rhetoric which flows boldly from all sides. 

Dear Editor, This week the Ministry of Education will continue to administer a colonial era, traumatic experience to 15,268 students who will write the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), then they will worship the top 1% winners.
