Dear Editor, As soon as I purchase my newspaper I rush to the ‘Letters to the Editor’ pages to read the views of ordinary Guyanese citizens.

(Trinidad Express) All Charlotte Street vendors who are not citizens of Trinidad and Tobago were on Monday refused licences to vend in the Charlotte Street Heritage Programme, which comes on stream at the end of this month.

Dear Editor, The Shieldstown Nursery School has received some wonderful gifts from Shri Prakash Gossai of the Office of the President that are beneficial to both the teachers and the students.

Dear Editor, Out of curiosity I decided to check Delta Airlines’ website to see what they were charging for a round trip out of JFK to Georgetown and was astonished to be quoted prices of between US$1100 and US$1500 for a 21-day round trip ticket.

Dear Editor, The Suddie Hospital on which government recently spent millions of dollars to upgrade does not have a proper ambulance ever so much essential for use with the existing conditions that face the institution.

Dear Editor, Please allow me to refer to Dr. Prem Misir’s letter in Tuesday’s SN (10/6/08) providing much enlightenment on the on the subject of Enlightenment, the heading of Sunday Stabroek’s (8/6/08) editorial and the expected editorial comments.

Dear Editor, I would like to respond to Mr Nohar Singh (Guyana Chronicle 2008/06/11) on a few issues.

Dear Editor, Trinidad’s Prime Minister Mr Patrick Manning said that his government is not waiting for others to lead the way and will be investing heavily in making Guyana the food basket of the region.

Dear Editor, With reference to the June 16/08 SN story `Battered and nude body of teen found on Hope Beach’.

Dear Editor, Rice has taken centre stage in our country. But there is a great problem in this important sector: The Burma Rice Research Station has been a fabulously lame duck for the longest while.

Dear Editor I refer to a letter by Mr. Vishnu Bisram of June 13 titled `I respect Joey for his independence of mind’ in which he wrote the following words; “On the series of exchanges with Freddie, I responded to his queries which initially were fair….”

Dear Editor,I commented on June 10th about the very sad case of little Kean Graves who died after her appendix burst.

Dear Editor, I do not believe that the PPP has anything to fear from a Freedom of Information Bill and as such I see no reason why Prime Minister Sam Hinds would seek to say that Guyana is not ready for the Freedom of Information Bill as yet.

Dear Editor, I thank  Quado Vancooten for his nice letter entitled ‘You never knew Guyana was so beautiful’, SN 2008/06/15.

Dear Editor I read the article on the horrific attack on dogs two Sundays ago in Bush Lot, West Berbice.

Dear Editor, When I read the Stabroek News of June 6th, 2008, I was taken aback by the rude outburst by the President at prominent businessman Yesu Persaud, Chairman of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), for his suggestion that other local companies should be similarly considered for tax concessions. 

Dear Editor, I am shocked but not surprised at the President’s recent outburst which is an indication of his inability to handle the pressures of the Office of the President.
