Dear Editor, During the President’s Cup tournament in 2022, His Excellency President Irfaan Ali is on record as publicly stating that one of his main aims for promoting the President’s Cup football tournament  was to have Guyana qualify for the soccer world cup.

Dear Editor, This is a response to an article in the Stabroek News on April 17, 2023, under the headline “Linden seems to be ignored in ‘One Guyana’ theme – Mayor”, where in a press release, the Mayor of Linden, Waneka Arrindell, is quoted as saying “the town of Linden appears to be excluded from the government’s ‘One Guyana’ theme as numerous requests for assistance for its annual week of activities have been ignored.”

Dear Editor, We live in a world where the only consistent thing about some people is their inconsistency.

Dear Editor, The organisers of  Linden Town Week are lamenting and questioning the One Guyana concept and the perceived lack of it in its upcoming activities.

Dear Editor, There is no FARA filing by US Public Relations Lobby firm, BGR Group, for Nazar ‘Shell’ Mohamed; there are also no records of any document submitted to the US State Department by BGR for Shell or GoG.

Dear Editor, By now, the people of Guyana would have grasped to varying degrees of understanding that the PPP’s economic and political thinking will not, for the vast majority of citizens, eliminate poverty, inequality, and economic insecurity, will not lift living standards, and will not create a society where shared prosperity and good governance prevail.

Dear Editor, Vincent Alexander’s letter dated April 11 2023 entitled ‘Covert and overt aid from global powers have been the fuel of our defining moments’ is a desperate attempt at revision of historical facts while relying on his own imagination and superficial feelings to define a moment that does not hold true.
