Dear Editor, I was following the story regarding the mysterious illness that is affecting the school children at Silvertown Secondary School and I understand that the doctors are not finding any medical concerns surrounding this mysterious illness.

Dear Editor, In a letter published in Stabroek News on March 3, 2006, Mr Vishnu Bisram , the writer, noted that Dr Jagan was an honest man, “but stories were told to me that corruption among a few of his ministers was one of the factors that triggered his massive heart attack.”

Dear Editor, I refer to L A Camacho’s letter captioned “Critchlow Labour College was part of a broader plan in which the American Labour Movement was involved to provide education for workers” (08.02.26) wherein he talks of the educational help received by the local Trade Union movement from certain American unions.

Not the time to score political points

Dear Editor As I sit in the Chambers of the National Assembly to debate the 2008 Budget I am amazed at the government trying to score political points by telling the people of Guyana that upon their visit to Bartica and Lusignan, the people were united and that this was based on them being happy and contented with the government even though they were in crisis.
