Letters to the Editor

Chaos and bullying at this bus park

Dear Editor, The minibus operators and conductors – Route 31 would like to bring to your attention our dissatisfaction due to the lack of order at the Georgetown-Patentia bus park.

What about the marginalization under Burnham?

Dear Editor, Father Malcolm Rodrigues in his interview headlined “Time to talk to the terrorists” (08.02.11) said among other things that young black people here feel they are marginalized and are not represented in parliament and they are not prepared to put up with marginalization.

The call for dialogue with murderers is morally reprehensible

Dear Editor, Right on cue. The Jackals of War, those that have infiltrated Buxton and found fertile ground for their venom and their diabolical schemes, are hoping, like all those who cloak themselves in the disguise of insurgents, and who employ terror and mayhem, to be given a slice of credibility.

The government should apply for UN assistance

Dear Editor, Stabroek News must be congratulated for bringing to the attention of Guyanese the possibility of obtaining United Nations assistance for the security forces to solve some of Guyana’s security and justice problems.

The constable was not absent from court as Mr Persaud claimed

Dear Editor, I refer to a letter of complaint dated 2007.09.10 by Mr Baliram Persaud of Lot 19, Section B, Suddie Village, Essequibo Coast made to the President and copied to the Minister of Home Affairs, the Commissioner of Police and the Divisional Commander ‘G’ Division.

A heartening photograph

Dear Editor, The cheerful smiles and without any distance between them in the photograph in SN of Wednesday 13th between the Australian Prime Minister and Opposition leader is a timely reminder for our leaders to emulate, meet, greet and embrace despite their respective divergent views.
