Dear Editor, A state that recognizes the full human rights of its most innocent citizens – children – and its worst citizens – criminals – can be expected to deal as fairly and as humanely with the rest of us bracketed in the middle.

Africans Americans vote on the issues not on race

Dear Editor, And his assertion that race is the primary factor in the support Obama is getting from African American voters perhaps is probably more of Bisram transferring his selectoral operants as the motivating factors behind the electoral choices of African Americans.

Dear Editor, On behalf of the Association of Guyanese Writers and Artists, I wish to congratulate Professor David Dabydeen for winning the “Caribbean Nobel Prize”, ANSA/Sabga Award for Excellence in Arts and Letters, which earned him a Gold Medal and TT$500,000.

Dear Editor, I note, with some surprise, a letter headlined: `Too many acting appointment in schools’ that appeared on page 9 of the Sunday Stabroek of January 20 without any indication that it had been sent or was being sent to the Teaching Service Commission for a comment.
