Dear Editor, While the Minister of Home Affairs waxes about the rule of law, and many proceed to morally preen themselves while vilifying the supposed ill-conduct of villagers in Buxton and residents of Ruimveldt in the GPL issue, we are witnesses to the most awful and disgusting abuses of the law by those occupying the very pinnacles of power in the society.

Dear Editor, I leave home at Mc Doom at 05.30 hrs to go to work (I am living alone) and return around 18:00 to 190:0hrs.

Dear Editor, Twenty years ago, when the Guyana dollar was devalued to 115 to 1, during the presidency of Desmond Hoyte, after the government came under IMF control the sudden currency devaluation had a damaging effect on the wages of workers and pensioners.

Dear Editor, The Rosignol Ferry Stelling is just a stone’s throw from the Rosignol Primary School and the road traffic is very congested around the school hours especially when the 2.20 pm boat arrives.

Dear Editor, While obviously any foreign incursion onto Guyanese territory is totally unacceptable, I would mention that dredging rivers to extract gold is incredibly destructive.

Dear Editor, The Stabroek News (SN) editorial (Nov 22, 07), “Preparing for the Bali conference on climate change”, discussed some of the challenges facing the planet with regard to this major issue, and also supported the notion of incentives for the stewardship of forests as an effective approach to help in the battle against climate change.

Dear Editor, Minister Kellawan Lall should he held accountable for his actions and should resign.

Dear Editor, I keep seeing these TCL-TGI full-page advertisements in your paper boasting that they can bag and supply thousands of tonnes of cement in a day and they can store thousands of tons of cement.

Dear Editor, I read two reports carried in your newspaper recently, one dealing with the violence by a Minister of Government and the other by a man in Grove.

Dear Editor, Guyana has been a recipient of tremendous assistance from the subcontinent, India in all areas of development; such as technical training in the form of ITEC scholarships, infrastructural development (this is quite conspicuous in the successful completion of the beautiful cricket stadium and installation of the much needed traffic lights in Georgetown).

Dear Editor, The incident regarding Minister Kellawan Lall involved in a drunken brawl and firing his gun in a public place stands as a test for me.
