Dear Editor, Last Tuesday, October 9, two unidentified members of the Guyana Power and Light disconnection team came to my residence around 14:00 hours, alleging that I owe the company some $9000.

Dear Editor, Over a year ago, I made the difficult decision to stop addressing letters to the Chronicle.

Dear Editor, I read with great interest a letter to you by Members of SASOD-Guyana captioned “Buju Banton is an unrepentant homophobe”.

Dear Editor, I have read the letters in the press by Janet Bulkan and Howard Bulkan, constantly attacking the Government and the Guyana Forestry Commis-sion, accusing them of being corrupt, inefficient and not transparent.

Dear Editor, I am tempted to salute the response to my letter captioned “The National Gallery monitors, repairs and maintains both works and building on an ongoing basis” (07.09.21).

Dear Editor, It was surprising to learn from a letter in the ‘Chronicle’ headed “Speaking on issues affecting all poor women”, that some food items carried VAT.

Dear Editor, Global warming and the environment are topical issues today.

Dear Editor, I am out of the country at this time, and so would not be in place to give coverage of your public protest at the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting.

Dear Editor, Approximately two years ago, GT&T constructed an imposing telecommunication building at 7-Mile community Mahdia.

Dear Editor, This is the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

Dear Editor, After reading Naicelis Williams’s letter captioned “Women are regularly subjected to vulgar remarks and obscene suggestions” (07.10.07), I couldn’t help but agree with her position.
