Dear Editor, I was gob smacked when I learnt via the press recently, of a motion purportedly moved by the Mayor of Georgetown and supported by a particular group of Councillors, for an officer formerly employed by the Georgetown Municipality, who was dishonourably discharged for several breaches in procurement, accounting and management at the City Council, to be paid what is described as outstanding sums within 72 hours.

Dear Editor, The positive progress that the newly announced model Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) represents for Guyana cannot be understated.

Dear Editor, I refer to Mr. Sherwood Lowe’s letter in the Stabroek News (11/16/2022) on the need to conduct another House-to-House (HtoH) registration to clean up what he perceives to be a bloated voters’ list.

Dear Editor, I am participating in the annual South American 10km road Athletic Championship space, to be held on Sunday 26th inst.

Dear Editor, It is my considered opinion that in time to come, Guyana shall become a very sought-after eco-tourism destination, however, it will take the earnest participation of all, including and particularly the Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown, the persons responsible for managing the affairs of our capital city.

Dear Editor, I must say that I am pleased to see all of the development projects currently undertaken countrywide and those projects that are on the table.

Dear Editor, In an article in the Chronicle Newspaper dated November 12, 2022 and captioned, “Be ready for opportunities – President Ali tells business community” it was reported that the government said that “the government will continue to set the stage for investments …. 

Dear Editor, Permit my response to Mr. Ravi Dev’s letter published in Stabroek News Sunday 13th 2022 edition, “The opposition’s struck-in-the-past mode provided critical opportunities for the PPP’s well-oiled machinery”.

Dear Editor, I refer to Mr. Sherwood Lowe’s letter published in Stabroek News, 16/11/2022. 

Dear Editor, I read with deep interest the erudite and scholarly letter written by Attorney General Anil Nandlall, in which he dealt extensively with the Voter’s List.

Dear Editor, The country is now witnessing from the political appendix of the PNC, the Alliance for Change; their attempt to suggest alternative facts about the conduct of the 2020 elections, to smokescreen their utter fear and trepidation in heading into another free, fair and transparent election.

Dear Editor, For starters it has to be understood that there is usually a degree of sensitivity implied in the shape, size and overall image of notices that, however surreptitiously, reflect the organisation’s: work environment, communication style, training capacity, developmental opportunities not to mention turnover rate of the very positions advertised.

Dear Editor, The Government-led clean-up campaigns are quite admirable. It’s good to see the President, George-town Mayor and Government officials being able to mobilise folks to go out and do cleaning of drains, weeding, removal of abandoned vehicles, etc.

Dear Editor, I am writing to you out of anger and frustration.

Dear Editor, Anil Nandlall, in his Tuesday’s letter in SN supporting bloated-list denialism, showed that he has not been closely following the debate on the issue.
