Letters to the Editor

Guyana is rapidly moving forward and including all people regardless of race, class, geography

Dear Editor, The Government of Guyana has been managing the affairs of government transparently and inclusively since its assumption of office on August 2, 2020, following a devastating five-month delay caused by the former APNU+AFC Coalition government and senior GECOM officials repeatedly attempting to thwart the will of the Guyanese electorate and prevent the declaration of the legitimate government of Guyana.

Town Hall meeting

Dear Editor, So, it seems, the only way to garner votes and support was to lambaste, assail  and discredit a legally elected government and by extension a sovereign state, aided and abetted by some individuals, as was the case with the recent Town Hall meeting.

Lack of professional support for our athletic teams has always been the rule

Dear Editor, Nicolette Fernandes, probably the most successful individual athlete who has represented Guyana within recent years, and Keevin Allicock, one of our more successful boxers, have publicly pointed out that our sports teams and individual athletes representing Guyana at international competitions are seldom given the support by their respective sporting associations, including the Olympic Association, and, yes, the government, which they deserve and which they must have for success.

Two low-hanging fruits that the AG can deliver

Dear Editor, As a former employee of Precision Woodworking Limited (the Company) and one who has attended many of the court hearings in the action brought by the Company against Republic Bank, I wish to add my bit to the comments of my former workplace colleague, Eustace Marshall, which were carried in your 13th October edition.
