Dear Editor, Local Government Elections (LGE) will not be held this year (2022) but from all indications, it can certainly be held in the first quarter of 2023 providing the Minister of Local Government, Nigel Dharamlall acknowledges GECOM’s advice and proceeds to announce a date for LGE in 2023.

Dear Editor, As a ninety one year old patient of the audiology clinic at Bartica hospital, I have been without a hearing aid for some time and because my hearing is almost completely gone, I was glad when I learnt that gov’t had purchased a quantity of hearing aids and I would hear from the clinic soon.

Dear Editor,  Guyana owes a gigantic debt of gratitude to the small number of dedicated men and women who are devoting their precious time, energy and puny resources to rescuing and caring for abandoned and abused animals.

Dear Editor, Oliver Solomon is the grandson of Joe Solomon. Oliver ran into a stranger in Manhattan.

Dear Editor, I was sufficiently moved by Freddie Kissoon’s pleas to have letters written by him and cohorts published in Stabroek News, that I now ask, nay, humbly beg that you lower your standards to allow all and sundry space in your publication so that we may truly grasp the state of literacy in our nation.

Dear Editor, As a member of the Guyana Public Service Cooperative Credit Union (GPSCCU), I observed with horror the disingenuous swaying of the wider membership of the GPSCCU by its otherwise politicized leadership, which began under the Chair-manship of Trevor Llewellyn Benn, installed together with the Interim Management Committee (IMC) on 25th May 2018 by the APNU+AFC Minister, Keith Scott.

Dear Editor, The research being done at Cornell University on feeding the world sustainably is game changing, and it will allow resources to be freed up for other uses while also reducing the carbon footprint associated with humans.

Dear Editor, Prescott Mann’s letter, “Respect listeners of radio overall-not just cricket coverage,” is nothing but a time-wasting exercise.

Dear Editor, It was instructive to note Mr. Deodat Singh’s observations about failures to attend to identified infrastructural deficits across communities – from the capital city to Mon Repos.

Dear Editor, An economically sound Wales gas-to-energy (WGTE) would be a most satisfying development for Guyanese. 

Dear Editor, Reference is made to Professor Andre Brandli’s letter to the Editor of Stabroek News dated October 11, 2022, with the caption “Mr.
