Letters to the Editor

The system of justice has become a farce

Dear Editor, On May 12th, SN published an article by Femi Harris, titled “Neesa Gopaul case: CCJ judges cast doubt on testimony used to convict Jarvis Small – -Justice Saunders says there should have been separate trials”.

Foot dragging on the elections COI

Dear Editor, It is pure damn nonsense (borrowing that phrase again), after two full years the elections fraud cases before the court still cannot commence properly, and the CoI is still no near commencement.

Rohee’s message is crystal clear

Dear Editor, I have refrained from engaging Mr. Clement Rohee, former Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs Minister and now GECOM commissioner in the public space, to avoid the perception of condoning the targeted attacks on him which had often evoked his past as a city youngster around the Metropole cinema rather than focus on his political conduct and public service.

Innovative traffic management will be essential for next mega events

Dear Editor, After the traffic chaos that occurred on the West Coast Berbice on Sunday, I am sure that GT’s finest are in their situation room trying to figure out how to avoid similar occurrences for the motor race event at South Dakota this weekend and the Cricket Carnival at the Stadium next month, both of which would require innovative traffic management along the other main artery which provides ingress and egress to the city, the main international airport, Linden and Lethem.
