Dear Editor, This is 2022, and discrimination against Indians and their cultural traditions still thrives in Guyana, in the Caribbean,  in many jobs, institutions, organisations and events such as the upcoming 22nd annual Guyana Folk Festival, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Carifesta ’72 under the theme, “Carifesta@50: Reflections and Legacies.”

Dear Editor, GuySuCo notes the malicious dissemination of incorrect information by the Village Voice online media platform via their Facebook page on Sunday 17th July, 2022 and rejects this reckless attempt to misrepresent the truth. 

Dear Editor, Often classified among the minority, the Caribbean woman has always been  perceived  as the subordinate,  and  our roles  traditional: homemakers.

Dear Editor, Serious protests in neighbouring Suriname over a number of grievances,  (didn’t know this was happening) with a failed attempt to enter the grounds of the Office of the President.

Dear Editor, Most Guyanese are grateful that the Hess family used its relationship with Mount Sinai to encourage their Global Health team to include Guyana in their global work.

Dear Editor, The Thursday July 15, 2022 editions of the Stabroek News and Kaieteur News carried front page headlines, positing that a senior police officer will be charged for a  breach of discipline for giving instructions to his juniors to trail Aubrey Norton, Leader of the Opposition.

Dear Editor, I am writing this letter in disgust and frustration over the current situation at the Parika Marketing Centre.

Dear Editor, I am hopeful.  Though I might be the biggest sucker around, hope is all that I have, a huge part of me.

Dear Editor, The fascinating ad by Princess Casino for young ‘Latino’ nationals in Stabroek News seems to have drawn the attention of the Ministry of Labour Does Stabroek News not check the advertisements which they place in the newspapers for discrimination and other illegal content?
