Dear Editor, There is an excitement in Georgetown as the Toshaos from across the country descend on the Nation’s Capital once again.

Dear Editor, I recently commented on the illegal police promotions. However, misleading statements by Calvin Brutus in the media have caused me to put my fingers on the keyboard and to submit this missive.

Dear Editor, Exxon had to unwillingly add an environmentalist perspective to its Board in order for the public’s best interest to be clearly voiced and considered in the company’s decision making.

Dear Editor, I have been following the issue that has recently been in the news regarding mining in the Amerindian Village of Chinese Landing.

Dear Editor, It was a great shock to read that former Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated by a disgruntled man. 

Dear Editor, A few years ago, I had the opportunity to serve as a member of the Board of the National Library and the Metrication Board  of the Guyana National Bureau of Standards.

Dear Editor, It is now several weeks since those who disrupted Parliament and caused chaos, even trying to steal the Mace and placed before the Privileges Committee, were found liable, with varying penalties meted out against them. 

Dear Editor, After all the roadblocks set up by the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs have failed, the National Toshaos’ Council (NTC) Conference is now set to begin 11th and end on 15th July 2022 in the City.

Dear Editor, Our generation of the 1930s would walk past the Alberttown Police Station, located as is now at Fourth and Albert Streets, on the way to schools in Queenstown – Moravian and Roman Catholic Primaries.

Dear Editor, I have a problem.  More accurately, Guyana’s President Ali, has a problem.

Dear Editor, A Newsroom report, complete with two men kissing, was headlined, “Fresh calls for repeal of anti-gay laws in Guyana” following a decision in Antigua and Barbuda that says buggery/sodomy is OK.

Dear Editor, There have been calls for “power sharing” to reconstitute the Executive Branch of our government, which directs the state institutions constituted to achieve our overarching goal of a harmonious, prosperous and secure nation.

Dear Editor, Much has been said about the constitutionality of the appointment of the Police Service  Commission, the latest blooper of the PPP/C Government led by President Dr.

Dear Editor, Guyana is paying Exxon’s tax, and gov’t is taking 20% of our interest we get from our bank savings as withholding tax.

Dear Editor, There was this headline titled “VICE News airs more claims about laundering, bribes by Chinese businessmen here” (SN July 8), and others pointing to the same on social media, and they are sure to start more storms here.

Dear Editor, The People Progressive Party (PPP) is not a Perfect Political Party.
