Dear Editor, The commemoration at the beginning of this month of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee brought back memories of her first visit to Guyana on Feb 4-6, 1966 just before our independence on May 26th.

Dear Editor, My stomach churned as I looked at the broadcast of the Enmore Martyrs commemoration activity on June 16, 2022 and saw President Ali attacking the GAWU President, and in my mind, all GAWU members.

Dear Editor, The late Sir Fenton Ramsahoye would rejoin repeatedly that ‘one of the things a man doesn’t know – is that he doesn’t know’.

Dear Editor, The Clerical & Commercial Workers’ Union was very happy to hear from President Ali, the Government’s announced Private Sector employees’ minimum wage increase from $44,200 to $60,000 per month, at the commemoration ceremony of the 74th Anniversary of the Enmore Martyrs.

Dear Editor, I will be voting for the first time in 2025, and am currently undecided on how I may vote.
