Dear Editor, The recent disclosures of Guyanese politicians and  spokespersons being on Exxon’s payroll should come as no surprise.

Dear Editor, We have been following the Republican Convention and noticed many speakers making comments about LGBQT issues – that some people don’t know how to define “woman,” transgenders wanting to participate in women’s sports, people asking you to state your pronouns although they can see clearly you are a biological male or biological female, indoctrination of young children that there are many genders not boy and girl only, a single person wanting to be called “they,”etc.

Dear Editor, Like most Guyanese, I am afraid to seek treatment at public hospitals because I lack confidence in the doctors, and private hospitals are prohibitively expensive.

Dear Editor, A few months ago, I read in your newspaper whilst President Irfaan Ali was doing an outreach in one of the villages in this country, he said that the aim of this exercise was to bring the Office of the President to the people so that he can listen to the concerns of the people and bring relief to them on the spot.
