The AFC squandered its goodwill

Dear Editor, When the Alliance for Change (AFC) was formed there was great hope for the Guyanese nation because of the promise of breaking race voting whereby Indian Guyanese vote for the PPP and African Guyanese vote for the PNCR.

UG Satellite Campus at Aishalton is a major development

Dear Editor, The headline, “Historic! MoU takes UG Satellite Campus to indigenous Aishalton Village,” (Newsroom, June 24, 2024) is to be celebrated as this initiative is one small step for Aishalton/Rupununi and Region 9, and one giant step for the University of Guyana reaching out to contribute to equity and parity in education in the remote and hinterland areas.

PNCR is now the proverbial Solomonic baby

Dear Editor, When the wise, King Solomon of the Holy Bible had to preside over a disputed baby, he said to the two women claiming to be the mother that the solution to the problem was to cut the baby in half.

Is congress under threat?
