Dear Editor, The Ministry of LG&RD issued a statement debunking a news article that it played a part in the removal exercise of vendors outside Demico House and Discount Store on Sunday, April 28 (NewsRoom April 29).

Dear Editor, In subservience to Exxon and realizing that they will lose the legal battle, the Government now plots its heralded scheme for an oil spill legislation to nullify Judge Kissoon’s decision decreeing that an Unlimited Parent Company Guarantee (referred herein as UPCG) must be provided to bear the full cost of any oil spill, above what the insurance covers.

PPP NIS pensioners are bawling the most for an increase

Dear Editor,       I am writing this letter on behalf of the thousands of NIS pensioners who have not received any increase in their pensions this year simply because their pension is above the new minimum of $43,000 per month which was announced in this year ‘s budget.

Dear Editor, In the article ‘PPC rejected complaint over contract for Fort Wellington school extension’ (SN April 26), it is reported that the complaint letter was dated September 1 2003 and received by the PPC on September 6 2003.
