Dear Editor, In response to my letter in SN on April 16, regarding the acquisition and placement of steel sheet piling (SSP) around his property in Lodge, Elder Hamilton Green, a Minister in the former PNC Government under the late President Burnham,   claimed that the information I gave therein was unfounded and a  distortion and total untruth.

Dear Editor, First the siblings’ deaths were ruled as dengue-related complications. 

Dear Editor, I have noticed that over the last few days, after the collapse of a section of the Stabroek Market Wharf, the Guyana Chronicle has dedicated a significant percentage of column inches in that newspaper, to criticise the management of the Georgetown City Council.

Dear Editor, I note a letter from Joel Bhagwandin in yesterday’s SN titled “The summary of the PPC’s Tepui contract findings indicates that there was no breach of the Procurement Act” which explains the rationale behind their recent report.

Dear Editor, When last, on 22nd March, 2024, I publicly commented on Venezuela’s claim to the Essequibo region of Guyana in a letter to the media, I concluded by pointing out that Venezuela’s President, Nicolas Maduro, “has obviously become a desperate man, cannot be relied upon to honour his word nor his signature on any agreement and that Guyana must now be prepared to address the consequences of any action which Maduro may decide to take”.

Dear Editor, The recently concluded Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) graduation, the numerous complaints, pre- and post-graduation, made by the students and were posted on the infamous Melly Mel’s Facebook page, have caused quite a stir in the education sector.
