Dear Editor, This is my fourth letter on NIS. I am still awaiting for a proper response from the NIS Inspector.

Some ministries closed early on Holy Thursday

Dear Editor, One of my colleagues told me that he went to the Central Housing and Planning Authority on 28th March to look after an urgent matter and arrived at approximately 1.30 pm but was told by the security guard that the agency was closed for business since around 1200 noon for a “function.” 

Parts of Belize besieged by gangs

Dear Editor, Another Caricom state besieged by gangs.  Parts of Belize have been put under a state of emergency due to an increase in gang related activities (Loop News Mar 27).

We need to inculcate ethical and moral principles into our society

Dear Editor, It is indeed unfortunate that those in charge of our development, although we can see that they are doing a good job in improvement of the material resources of our country, seem not to realise that we need most of all to implement the inculcation of ethical and moral principles into our society.

Another holiday weekend of deaths

Dear Editor, It was another holiday weekend with several deaths, particularly young people, following road accidents, a number involving motorcycles; fires, two which claimed lives; vehicle accidents among other incidents resulting in deaths or injuries and damage to and.loss
