Dear Editor, This week is designated International Week for Nurses. It is a fitting time to reflect on the contribution of nurses to health care delivery in Guyana.

Dear Editor, Has somebody hacked into the computer of the Vice Chancellor of UWI Professor, Hilary Beckles and written that bizarre rant you published on May 6th?

In the sports section of last Sunday’s edition, this newspaper broke a story that the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) was asking Under-15 and Under-17 players to sign contracts with long term implications for their future earnings from the game of cricket.

Dear Editor, Please oblige me space in your newspaper to bring to the attention of the Guyana Police Force  an incident that took place on the 3rd day of May, 2018 at the Ministry of Public Health’s (MoPH) Head Office (Lot 1 Brickdam).

Dear Editor, Malaysia is having a general election on Wednesday, her 14th since gaining independence from Britain in 1957.

Few things can be more inspiring for our struggling education system than teachers, mostly females, (these days it appears that males run a proverbial mile to avoid teaching) fending off their less than appealing conditions of service, and presenting themselves, day after day, fully prepared to draw a line under the frustrations of the previous day and to simply soldier on.

Dear Editor, The news reports in the two Sunday papers that I browse featured different people from different places emphasizing in different ways the role of the judicial system in any society seeking to lift itself out of the swamp and shadows. 

Dear Editor, During Labour or Worker’s Day activities, 2018, I listened to many unionists who gave remarks and commented on issues that affect workers they represent.

Dear Editor, Relative to the letter from the Attorney General, I now recall that weeks after APNU+AFC, won the elections I wrote to the new government offering my services to the administration.
