Dear Editor, Even as Minister of Natural Resources Raphael Trotman touts his academic and professional qualifications (S/N 30-12-2017 GGMC team clinched Exxon pact –Trotman) including negotiations skills, he reportedly distanced himself from any participation in the renegotiations leading to a new Petroleum Agreement with Esso/Hess/CNOOCNexen.

Dear Editor, The man from Exxon has described the oil agreement with Guyana as “fair” since this country is a new kid in the sharp-elbowed petroleum world.

Dear Editor, Recently there has been talk in the media about the Government of Guyana (GoG) share of the oil revenue from Exxon and its partners.

Dear Editor, Monday marks the beginning of a New Year. Many citizens would have made their New Year’s resolutions which encompassed growth, change and development in different aspects of their lives and those of their families.
